Renovation, Remodel & Addition Electrical Wiring

Building an addition, opening up a kitchen, or finishing a basement? We handle the full electrical scope — from rough-in wiring and circuits to the panel capacity, lighting and final devices.

Electrical rough-in wiring for a home addition and remodel by Dibble Electrical in Central Virginia

Dibble Electrical doesn’t just do service work — we wire new additions and rewire for remodels. A renovation is the ideal time to fix undersized wiring, add the circuits and outlets you actually need, plan your lighting properly, and make sure your panel can carry the new load. Getting the electrical right during the remodel saves you from opening finished walls later.

We work from your plans (or help you think through them), coordinate our rough-in with your other trades, and pull the permits and inspections that renovation electrical requires. From kitchen and bath remodels to whole-home additions, basements, bonus rooms and outbuildings, we deliver clean, code-compliant work you can build on. We also partner with local custom home builders to design and customize electrical layouts for new homes.

Every remodel is different, so we start with a free on-site walkthrough to scope the work and give you an accurate estimate.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work from an architect’s or contractor’s plans?

Yes. We wire from your plans and coordinate our rough-in with your builder and other trades — and we’re happy to advise on the electrical layout if plans aren’t final yet.

Will my remodel need a panel upgrade?

Sometimes. Adding square footage, HVAC, a kitchen or a bath can push an older panel past its capacity. We run a load calculation and let you know before the work starts.

Do you handle permits for renovation electrical?

Yes — we pull the electrical permit and coordinate the required inspections as part of the project.
